TreasureX Competitions – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in TreasureX competitions organised by TreasureX LTD, registered in England & Wales, company number 16326799. By registering and participating, you agree to abide by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
- Participants must be 18 years or older or have written consent from a parent or legal guardian if under 18.
- Only registered users may join competitions. Registration closes at the official competition start time; late entries are not accepted.
- By registering, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
- Participation in each competition is subject to local laws and regulations. In certain locations, legal or regulatory requirements may limit the number of participants permitted to take part. Where such limits apply, the maximum number of registrations available will be clearly displayed on the relevant competition page.
2.Account Registration & Entry
- Creating a user account on the TreasureX website is free.
- Entry to a competition requires the purchase of a ticket (entry fee).
- During sign-up, participants must select an influencer code, which connects winners to a corresponding influencer prize experience.
- Registration and the purchase of any optional clues are only permitted prior to the official start time of a competition.
3.Competition Structure
TreasureX competitions are skill-based treasure hunt challenges conducted in public outdoor areas.
On the competition day, all registered participants will receive:
- The borough in which the QR stickers are placed
- Images of the three stickers
- A unique code to unlock the QR verification page
Participation process:
- Entrants must locate two initial stickers in the borough and scan the QR codes, uploading a selfie as proof of accomplishment.
- Optional riddle-based digital clues may be purchased to assist with problem-solving.
- Once both initial stickers are verified, the entrant receives coordinates to a final sticker.
- The first entrants to scan and verify the final sticker are declared winners.
4.Skill-Based Nature:
- Prizes are allocated based on the order of scanning and verifying the QR codes in the city.
- Winners are determined by speed, observation, problem-solving ability, and effort.
- No element of chance, lottery, or random draw is involved.
5.Prize Structure
Prizes are awarded strictly based problem solving skill and completion speed:
Sticker 1 & Sticker 2:
- First verified participant: €500
- Next 10 verified participants: €100 each
Final Sticker:
- First verified participant: €2,000 + influencer dinner
- Next 10 verified participants: €100 each
- First 100 verified participants: custom-designed 3D accessory
6.Prize Conditions:
- Prizes are paid via bank transfer in EUR or GBP within 14 days of the event.
- The dinner prize with the collaborating influencer will be organised within 7 days of the competition and allocate a date within the next 21 days.
- Any prizes awarded are the sole responsibility of the recipient, including any obligation to declare and pay applicable taxes in accordance with local laws.
- In the event of the collaborating influencer can’t attend the dinner at the agreed time and place the winner of the big prize will be compensated with an additional €1,000
- Winners must provide valid proof of ID, age, and bank details matching their registered name.
- If a winner fails to verify within 30 days, the prize is forfeited.
- Prizes are rewards for performance, not chance. No participation-only prizes exist.
7.Participant Responsibilities & Conduct
Entrants must:
- Use only safe, legal methods when searching for stickers.
- Respect public and private property.
- Avoid dangerous actions such as climbing, entering restricted areas, or disrupting traffic.
- Not disturb local communities, residents, or businesses.
- Not damage, deface, conceal, or remove stickers.
- Not share or sell sticker locations before the event ends.
- Not use bots, hacks, GPS spoofing, or other unfair means.
- Do not gather in groups larger than 10 people at any time.
TreasureX LTD may disqualify any entrant who violates these rules. Disqualified entrants forfeit entry fees and prizes.
8.Technology Requirements
Participation requires:
- A smartphone with camera, internet access, and QR scanning capability.
TreasureX LTD is not responsible for failure to participate due to technical issues on the entrant’s side.
9.Refund Policy
- Entrants may request a full refund of the entry fee up to 48 hours before the official start time of the competition.
- Refund requests must be sent to Info@TreasureXquest.com
- Once refunded, the entrant cannot rejoin the same event.
- Digital clue purchases are non-refundable, as they are instantly delivered.
- If TreasureX LTD cancels an event, all paid entry fees will be refunded in full within 7 business days, unless cancellation is caused by circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure).
- Participation in each competition is subject to local laws and regulations. In certain locations, legal or regulatory requirements may limit the number of participants permitted to take part. Where such limits apply, the maximum number of registrations available will be clearly displayed on the relevant competition page.
- Any competition organised by TreasureX LTD will be fulfilled to the full extend and all prizes allocated as per the prize structure, regardless of the attendance of participants.
- Competitions will not be extended or postponed based on the attendance of participants.
- TreasureX LTD complies with applicable UK and EU consumer protection laws.
10.Data Collection & Usage
TreasureX LTD collects the following:
- Full name, age, email address, residential address
- Selfies submitted next to QR codes as proof of accomplishment
By participating, you consent to:
- Use of your username and submitted selfies for verification and promotional purposes
- Storage and handling of your data in line with our Privacy Policy
TreasureX LTD does not sell or share data with third parties, except as required by law. Entrants may request data deletion at any time.
11.Intellectual Property
All competition formats, website content, artwork, stickers, branding, and event structures are the exclusive property of TreasureX LTD.
They may not be copied, reproduced, or reused without written permission.
12.Limitation of Liability
Participation is at your own risk.
TreasureX LTD is not responsible for:
- Injuries, accidents, or damages arising from participation
- Property damage caused or suffered by participants
- Third-party actions during the event
Entrants are encouraged to hold personal insurance.
13.Force Majeure
TreasureX LTD is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Public transport disruption
- Natural disasters
- Acts of government or authority
- Civil unrest or strikes
14.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
For international participants, local consumer protection laws may also apply.
All disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
